Camlocks are also referred to as Cam and Groove Coupling Fittings.

Camlocks are used to connect and disconnect hoses, tubing and pipe lines.

When selecting the material that the Cam and Groove Couplings are made of (aluminum, brass, stainless steel or plastic) it is important to make sure that the fittings' material is compatible with your application’s fluid, temperature and pressure.

Do not use Cam and Groove Couplings with compressed air or steam.

Make sure that the male and female Camlock adapters are the same size.

Aluminum Camlocks are lighter weight and lower cost than stainless steel couplings and are frequently used for water applications.

Stainless Steel Camlocks have excellent corrosion resistance and are often used in chemical and acidic applications. Stainless steel is also used in potable water systems.

Brass Camlocks are durable and lower cost than stainless steel. Brass couplings are often used with fuel, oil and non-potable water applications.

Polypropylene Plastic Camlocks are lightweight, durable, and very economical.
